Scope: there is no revenue threshold and no small-company exemption — WLLs, single-person companies, partnerships and joint-stock companies are all covered, roughly 151,200 registered entities. Filing itself is free at the ministry; statements must be reviewed and signed by a licensed auditor under Companies Law No. 1 of 2016, and non-compliance escalates to fines (Art. 305: KD 5,000–50,000) and ultimately commercial-license cancellation after three consecutive years (Art. 266/7).

WHAT XBRL MEANS IN PRACTICE

XBRL is machine-readable tagging for financial statements: every figure is labeled so the ministry validates thousands of filings automatically. A balance sheet that is off by a single fils, or a structurally malformed file, is rejected instantly — the gap that used to slide through on paper becomes a hard stop. Kuwait follows IFRS, and the ministry has announced that the full technical taxonomy and procedural manual are still forthcoming, so any provider promising "100% guaranteed acceptance" today is promising something nobody can.

WHAT SPRINGWOOD DOES

Springwood turns a small Kuwaiti company's books — even photographed invoices and a notebook — into balanced IFRS statements, Arabic PDFs, and a portal-ready XBRL file. It auto-computes the provisions manual books forget (depreciation, end-of-service benefits at the legally correct monthly÷26 daily wage, statutory reserve), never plugs a balance gap silently, and shows you the complete statements before you pay. One-time 39 KWD via KNET; your auditor reviews and signs.
